Thursday Specials at the Maritime Market - 7/12
Good Morning Fellow Islanders!
It's 62 degrees in Blowing Rock this morning, and we're heading down the
mountain soon, and back to the warm ocean breezes of Bald Head Island.
We've had a wonderful but brief getaway, and caught up with some dear
friends - reminiscing about our more youthful days and giving thanks for
the many blessings we have now. We also got in a couple of rounds of
mountain golf - the higher elevations providing phenomenal vistas of the
Blue Ridge amidst the cooler breezes and crisp mountain air. Back home,
it's 80 degrees on the island, with the dawn revealing partly sunny skies
with a warm breeze coming off the water. We'll warm to the mid 80's today,
with increasing clouds and a slight chance of afternoon or evening showers
which could linger through tomorrow morning before making way for a sunny &
warm summer weekend, with daytime highs in the low 80's and light southerly
breezes. High tide will peak soon - around 7:30 this morning. Low tide
will occur around 1:30 this afternoon, and high tide returns at about 8
For breakfast this morning, Chef Marc is featuring our fabulous breakfast
pizza - with a sausage gravy base and topped with scrambled eggs, sauteed
onions, bacon & cheddar cheese. For lunch today, it's Taco Thursday and
Marc is preparing our famous taco salad with all the trimmings. He'll also
be featuring a southwest burger, layered with pepper jack, jalapeno's,
avocado, salsa & sour cream, along with a side of french fries for only
$10.95. Order any item from our regular menu on-line
at www.maritimetogo.com, and your order will be ready when you arrive.
