Saturday Specials at the Maritime Market - 1/13

Good Morning Fellow Islanders!

It's 51 degrees on the front porch this morning, and the crescent moon is
rising in the east amidst clear starry skies, with blustery winds and a
roaring South Beach surf. As the dawn breaks, look for mostly sunny skies,
with daytime highs fluctuating around the 50 degree line, with a brisk west
wind becoming a bitter north wind tonight, and pushing temperatures down to
the low 30's by dawn tomorrow. We'll eek up to the high 30's tomorrow
afternoon, and drop to the low 20's on Monday, with clear skies and a
persistent and chilly north wind. Ditto for Tuesday, with a slight chance
of snow or rain on Wednesday. Low tide will occur around 11 this morning,
and high tide will peak at about 5 this afternoon.

For breakfast this morning, Chef Marc is featuring our loaded breakfast
pizza, with scrambled eggs, diced sausage, & cheddar cheese, with a side of
fresh fruit for just $7.95. Pizza day continues through lunch, with a
selection of Gourmet pizzas by the slice. Order any of our regular menu
items at [1]www.maritimetogo.com and your order will be ready when you
arrive.

Kevin informs me that we have a surplus of Black Angus Ribeyes, and that
he's dropped the price to $7.99/lb. Ouch :). Kevin has also scored a deal
on the 2015 Joel Gott "815 Cabernet Sauvignon" - a delicious 100%
Cabernet, and a perfect pairing with the Black Angus Ribeyes, and it's only
$16.99/btl.

The BHA will host their January Potluck dinner on Monday, January 15 from
5:30 - 8pm. This month's Potluck also features a cooking demonstration by
Stephen Naysnerski as he demonstrates "cooking under pressure" at 5:30pm.
Bring your favorite dish and beverages. For more information, please
contact FA McLeod at faatbeach@aol.com.

At the Sony Open in Hawaii, Joel Dahmen made the cut on the number at -2
and will play this weekend (and earn a paycheck :). Martin Piller played
well, but missed the cut - as did many tour veterans. Look for Joel this
weekend on the Golf Channel. You can't miss him - he's the one wearing our
performance polo from Bald Head Blues :)

"Meeting Weekend" is approaching, and many of our island's HOA's and
non-profit entities will conduct their annual meetings, and we encourage
all property owners to engage and get involved!

The Bald Head Association's annual meeting will take place at 9am on
Saturday, January 27th at the Association Center.

The BHI Conservancy's annual meeting begins at 1pm in the classroom
building on the Conservancy Campus.

The Villas Association will meet at 2pm at the BHA.

The Village Chapel's annual meeting takes place Sunday, January 28
immediately after the service.

The Smith Island Social takes place on Saturday night, January 27th at the
BHI Club during "meeting weekend". Reservation deadline is TODAY!! The
cost is $50/person, so call the Club at 910-457-7300 to reserve seats. The
event is open to all property owners and their guests.

Enjoy this special quiet time on the island with your friends & family, and
we'll see you 'round the Market!

Cheers,

Melissa & Claude Pope
