Thursday Specials at the Maritime Market - 12/7

Good morning Fellow Islanders!

It's 42 degrees on the front porch this morning, and a soft rain is falling
- dripping from the eaves and the nearby palms, as a light breeze moves the
mist in waves over the dunes. The skies are dark, and the seas are kicking
up a mild surf over South Beach. We're settling in for a couple of days of
intermittent showers - coming up from the southwest and providing
much-needed nourishment to the island, and at a great time too, as there
are just a few hearty souls hanging out. The rain scares off many of the
contractors as well, but those doing interior work may (or may not) show
up. Nonetheless, our staff will be at their stations as always and ready
to serve you. Temperatures will hold steady in the 40's today as the
showers come and go. We'll dip to the low 40's overnight, and warm to the
upper 40's tomorrow, with showers persisting through Friday night, and
finally tapering off on Saturday. Winter sunshine returns on Sunday, and
seasonal temperatures in the upper 50's will return on Monday. High tide
will peak at about 10:30 this morning, and low tide will occur around 4:45
this afternoon.

For Breakfast this morning, Chef Marc is featuring a hearty Huevos
Rancheros - a warm flour tortilla layered with chili, eggs, cheddar cheese,
salsa and sour cream for just $7.95. For lunch today, Marc is preparing an
authentic oxtail stew over yellow rice for only $8.95. You can order any
of our menu items in advance at [1]www.maritimetogo.com and your order will
be ready for pickup when you arrive.

The BHI Club will make its last Christmas tree delivery from All In Bloom
in Southport tomorrow, so if you missed out on the first delivery, you have
one more day to pick out your tree :)

If you haven't heard yet, Justin Van Heukelom will be leaving BHI for a
great career opportunity in Ohio at the end of the year, with the added
bonus of being much closer to his family. The golfing community extends
our heart felt thanks and best wishes to Justin and his family, and so in
celebration of his 10 years of dedication at the BHI Club, a party is in
order :). If you are on island or in the area please join us this
Saturday, December 9 at 4pm in the Palm Room to wish Justin and his family
our best and to thank him for all he has done not only for the game of golf
but for the entire BHI club community. Justin is bringing his wife Becky
and their daughters - Kennedy and Lucy. We will be presenting a gift card
to thank him for his many contributions. If you would like to contribute,
please contact Patricia O'Brien via phone call or email and she will charge
your account: pobrien@bhiclub.net or 910-457-7300 and ask for Patricia.
The Deadline for contributions is today!

Sellers, and accompanied by Laurie Russ, and Mary Mears.

The New Hope Clinic's annual Silent Auction will take place on Saturday,
December 30 from 5-8pm at the BHI Club. This event raises money for the
New Hope Clinic in Brunswick County. The New Hope Clinic provides basic

drugs to low income uninsured residents of Brunswick County.

along with a dinner buffet, champagne toast and party favors :). Tickets
are only $60, and you can reserve your place by calling 910-457-7217.
