Sunday Specials at the Maritime Market - 7/16

Good morning Fellow Islanders!

It's 79 degrees on the front porch this morning, and the remnants of last
night's storms are moist and coating the hard surfaces, with a faint
breeze, a quiet surf, and just a few high clouds on the horizon. The
fading moon is joining the disappearing stars - overwhelmed by the
brilliance of the sun, as the early birds begin their morning songs. Today
we'll see lighter breezes, with mostly sunny skies in the morning, becoming
mostly cloudy as the day advances, with a chance of a summer shower or
storm in the late afternoon or evening. Our unstable air will linger
through the coming week, so look for continued "typical" summer days, with
partly sunny skies and a chance of a shower or thunderstorm popping up at
any time. Low tide will occur at about 7:15 this morning. High tide will
peak around 1:15 this afternoon, and low tide returns just before 8 this

For Breakfast this morning, Chef Marc is preparing a delicious broccoli &
cheddar quiche, and served with a side of fresh cut fruit for just $7.95.
For lunch today, Marc is featuring a house made shrimp salad, piled high
on a croissant and served with a side of crispy french fries for only
$9.95. You can also order all of our regular menu items
at [1]w[2], and those items will be ready by the time
you arrive.

Delphina and Riverside Adventures will host their weekly Sunset Celebration

free s'mores for the kids. The event is generously sponsored by Bald Head
Island Limited Real Estate Sales.

The evening begins on the lighthouse grounds at 5:30 with North
Carolina-made beers and spirits. The party then moves to the BHI Club for
a fabulous and authentic colonial dinner, with entertainment by the
Folkstone string band. On Sunday, enjoy a "reenactment day" back on the
lighthouse grounds, with a tribute to the Coast Guard, the light keepers,
pirates, Civil war and Old Baldy history. Sunday's events also feature
barbecue, beer & wine, with crafts and games for the kids. The Old Baldy
"Run for the Light" runs (10k, 5k and 1 mile) start at 6pm, and the evening
