Friday Specials at the Maritime Market - 7/14
Good morning Fellow Islanders!
It's 82 degrees on the front porch this morning, and the twilight is
beginning to wash away the stars and the waning moonlight. A few high
clouds are in the sky, and the first early birds are singing, as a light
breeze flutters across the dunes. As the dawn breaks, we'll see mostly
sunny skies, with light southwesterly breezes and temperatures warming to
the mid 80's. We'll cool to the low 80's overnight, and warm to the mid
80's againt tomorrow, with increasing clouds throughout the day, and a
chance of a summer shower or thunderstorm tomorrow evening. The atmosphere
will then remain unsettled for the next several days, with storm cells
popping up here and there, with one or more taking direct aim at the
island. We'll see if they find their targets :) High tide will peak at
about 11:15 this morning, and low tide will occur around 5:45 this
For Breakfast this morning, Chef Marc is preparing our famous Belgian

the new Harbor Village Park until about 2:30, and a Conservancy staff
member will be present to collect your fees (cash, check or credit card).
The cost of shredding a standard cardboard file box full of old files is
only $10/box, and the shred truck can shred the entire contents - including
the staples, paper clips, binder clips, file folders, and the box itself.
Any individual, business, or non-profit is welcome to bring their old
records, and the cost is the same for all - $10/box.
Chefs Radar and Chef Marc will be tag-teaming our custom smoker out front
today - smoking up a mess of Danish baby back ribs and whole pork butts
(which then become pulled pork barbecue). He's already done a batch of
beef flank steak, and he'll be featuring the flank steak in the hot box
today with mushroom demi and a side of mashed potatoes. The ribs and
pulled pork will be available for pick-up after 5pm - only to those who
sign up on the clipboard by the cooker.
